My Journey with Art Therapy
I did an art therapy course in 2020 as well as another advanced art therapy course later on. I’d always wanted to do a course, but they were in person in Cape Town. Because of Covid, they moved online, and I was able to finally complete an art therapy course.
Doing art therapy during this incredibly challenging time was one of the reasons I managed to get through lockdown in one piece. It allowed me to let go of a lot of things, realize things about myself and connect with other humans in a time when it was extremely isolating.
Since then, I’ve done vision board workshops and mandala courses, all facilitated by the same amazing art therapist.
